“The Vision Plan provides a roadmap to reimagine Newark Liberty International Airport as a world-class facility,” said Jacquelene McCarthy, Port Authority director of aviation redevelopment. “Our goal is to enhance passenger experiences, improve operational efficiency, and ensure that the airport reflects the culture and diversity of New Jersey.”

After Newark Airport's new Terminal A opened in 2022, the Port Authority just unveiled plans for a new Terminal B.

The plan — which the Port Authority said is on par with its $8 billion reconstruction of LaGuardia Airport and ongoing $19 billion transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport — will allow Newark Liberty to accommodate passenger growth.
