Split Fiction” pushes the limits of genre and co-op gameplay in an imaginative adventure through two wildly different worlds.

Split Fiction, the new game from It Takes Two developer Hazelight Studios, doesn’t do anything particularly new. The game is a straightforward co-op adventure that strings together disparate sci-fi and fantasy games like links on a chain.

It's been nearly four years since Hazelight Studios released It Takes Two, a title that received critical acclaim and went on to win Game of the Year at The Game Awards. Despite that game's huge success, we continue to rarely see big-budget games taking advantage of a gap in the co-operative space.

Another two-player co-op adventure, Split Fiction follows two aspiring writers as they are transported into the many worlds of their own stories, forced to work together as they find a way to escape the simulation they are now trapped in.

Writers Zoe and Mio must learn to work together while surviving the unfathomably creative worlds born out of their own imagination.
