BOSTON (AP) — More suspected drone sightings in the eastern U.S. led to a temporary airspace shutdown at an Air Force base in Ohio and arrests near Boston’s Logan International Airport, as elected officials increased their push for action to identify and stop the mysterious unmanned flights.

The arrests occur amid a number of reported drone sightings in the Northeast, including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

According to police, two men were arrested Saturday on Long Island, after officials noticed the drone on their monitoring systems.

Officials sound alarm over reports of the strange sights—seen over New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania—with one asking for a “limited state of emergency.”

Reports of flying objects continue to occur throughout the region. State and local officials say they do not pose a threat but have provided few answers.

There are growing calls for action as drone sightings increase in the skies over New York and New Jersey. Today Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer urged federal officials to use special drone detection technology.
