Mateta will miss Saturday's Premier League game against Ipswich after requiring 25 stitches in a wound inflicted by Millwall's Liam Roberts.

Jean-Philippe Mateta is "doing well" after being carried off with a head injury in their FA Cup win over Millwall. He added: "He is at home and recovering well. He had no fractures or concussion and healing from the huge wound is going as we expected."

Mateta was stretchered off and taken to hospital where he was given 25 stitches following the clash, prompting the FA to ask for a longer ban as the standard three-game suspension was "clearly insufficient".
