The FBI is searching for a man wanted on an attempted murder count in the July 4 shooting outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Texas that wounded a police officer, with the bureau asking authorities in neighboring states to spread the word on Friday.

A Blue Alert was issued on Wednesday for a man accused of shooting an Alvarado police officer during an attack at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility on July 4, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI.

Authorities have issued a Blue Alert for Benjamin Hanil Song, wanted in a North Texas ICE facility ambush on July 4 that wounded an officer.
