Alex Bowman is on the pole for Saturday's GOVX 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway. Bowman, running in his only scheduled Xfinity Series start of the season for Hendrick Motorsports, bested second place Sheldon Creed by more than a tenth of a second in Saturday's qualifying session.

In a race that's become known as a championship barometer, the NASCAR Cup Series will tackle a new twist this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Sunday's 312-lap race will feature the debut of option tires on the 1-mile oval.

NASCAR Xfinity Series continues into its fourth round today at Phoenix Raceway. Following practice and qualifying, the GOVX 200 is set to go ahead at 5 p.m. ET. Phoenix Raceway will also host practice and qualifying for the Cup Series today ahead of the Shriners Children's 500 tomorrow.
