Versatile wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be playing his football in the nation’s capital next season after the San Francisco 49ers agreed to trade him to the Washington Commanders for a fifth-round draft pick.

Since the trade was reported, Samuel posted a farewell video highlighting his time with the 49ers. Multiple teammates have reacted to the trade, including All-Pro tight end George Kittle, who commented on the post with a salute emoji and red heart emoji.

The 49ers have given Deebo Samuel permission to seek a trade. George Kittle believes San Francisco will have trouble replacing him.
