I spent a full day riding Royal Enfield’s all-new Classic 650, a bike which encompasses class, elegance and all things retro

I vividly remember my first dalliance with the charming Royal Enfield Classic 350 – our then long-termer when I was just an intern. It was early July, and I was riding to Mumbai from Pune with the monsoon in full swing.

The motorcycle is essentially based on the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 but gets a host of elements that are unique to it.

Royal Enfield has maintained the semi-analogue display from the Classic 350, which includes a speedometer and a multi-information display that shows a digital fuel gauge, gear indicator, odometer, and clock. Royal Enfield Classic 650 Vallam Red.

The Classic 650 is powered by the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine found in other models within the 650cc range. The bike also features a new digital-analogue instrument console, which includes a gear position indicator and comes standard with the Tripper navigation pod.

After many sightings in the past, Royal Enfield has finally revealed the Classic 650 Twin. This is the latest model that Royal Enfield has plonked its much-loved 648cc motor into and its styling is very similar to the company’s bestseller - the Classic 350.

It’s designed for the Classic 350 purists seeking an upgrade and those lamenting the absence of the Classic 500.
