USS Florida, a 18,750-ton nuclear-powered Ohio-class guided missile submarine, entered the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia following a deployment that commenced in August 2022.

Commissioned in 1954, the USS Nautilus was the world's first nuclear-powered submarine. It was the first ship to visit the North Pole and participated in the Cuban missile crisis blockade.
