Nick Kyrgios broke down in tears at Indian Wells, Calif. on Thursday night as he was forced to retire injured from his first-round match at the BNP Paribas Open against Botic Van de Zandschulp.

But then, Kyrgios picked up a knee injury just before the start of the 2023 season and surgically addressed it. Half a year later, he was hit with another brutal setback after seriously injuring his wrist and requiring another surgical procedure.

Australian tennis playing sensation Nick Kyrgios has opened up about seeing the bright side of a 'bad habit' he has picked up during recent training sessions. The 29-year-old is ready to return to action after only playing sporadically due to ongoing injury concerns which saw him eliminated in the first round of the Australian Open - before he retired from the Indian Wells tournament earlier today (Friday).
