Nearly 100 people were detained overnight during protests around Lower Manhattan’s Foley Square against the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies, according to the NYPD. A total of 86 people were detained.

Protests in Manhattan turned violent Tuesday as thousands rallied against recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids and in support of demonstrations in Los Angeles. Dozens of people were taken into custody and some protesters remained on city streets late Tuesday night.

At least 65 people were arrested as a massive anti-ICE protest in Lower Manhattan Tuesday devolved into chaos with shrieking, sign-holding demonstrators flooding the streets, clashing with cops and hurling objects at officers.
