Prince Albert and Princess Charlene joined their twin children on the Monaco Palace balcony today for a historic occasion. Today marks Monaco's National Day, and Charlene, 46, and Albert, 66, attended a Thanksgiving mass at the Cathedral of Monaco to celebrate.

It's Monaco's National Day—the day set aside to celebrate the principality's ruler, Prince Albert, which is widely considered the banner day of the Monegasque royal calendar—and the royal family marked the occasion with all of the fanfare you might expect.

Monaco has celebrated National Day since 1734. While the actual date of celebration has rotated through the years, in correlation with the day of the reigning Sovereign Prince's patron saint, Prince Albert chose to honor it on Nov. 19 like his late father, Prince Rainier, did as the sovereign of Monaco.

Princess Charlene of Monaco suited up for the 2024 Monaco National Day celebrations on Tuesday in Monaco. The royal was joined by members of Monaco's royal family for the occasion, including her nine-year-old twins,
