Congress is set to wrest Haryana from the BJP and it is going to be a hung house in Jammu and Kashmir, pollsters have predicted.

Live Exit Poll Results 2024 For Haryana, J&K: The exit poll results for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections 2024 are out now, and number indicate that the Opposition's INDIA bloc is likely to clinch both states from the jaws of BJP.

As the assembly elections conclude, all eyes are on the exit polls to predict the political landscape, with the BJP aiming for another term in Haryana and the Congress seeking a comeback, while Jammu Kashmir witnesses its first assembly election in nearly a decade.

The BJP and Congress are the main contenders in the race. Prominent candidates are Bhupinder SIngh Hooda, Vinesh Phohat, Nayab Singh Saini and others.

Exit polls for Haryana's 2024 Assembly elections suggest a strong lead for Congress, potentially winning over 50 seats, while BJP may secure only 18-24 seats. Voter turnout was 61%, with Mewat recording the highest at 68.

The discrepancy between exit polls and real results has raised questions about the accuracy of pre-election predictions, the tools used to conduct surveys and sample collection strategies.

RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav reacting to Haryana Exit polls predicting a Congress victory, said, "Ye paraajay hai Narendra Modi ka (this should be seen as a defeat of Narendra Modi)."

According to Axis My India exit poll projections, Congress is likely to win 59 seats in the state, while the BJP could win 23 seats. Other parties may win 8 seats.
