BMW's new OS turns entire windshield into 3D heads-up display
The system comes with a 3D heads-up display (HUD) that stretches across the entire windshield, from one pillar to another. It also supports an augmented reality (AR) system that overlays navigation directions and driver assistance information on top of road data.

This isn’t the first time that BMW has teased the new heads-up display called BMW Panoramic iDrive. The company showed off a version of it at CES 2023 in the iVision Dee concept, and it’s all part of the new platform called BMW Operating System X.
The Garmin HUD+ was a small Bluetooth device intended for the dashboard of a car, meant to be used as a ... phone app that no longer works. The HUD display itself is unchanged.
