A Paris man who police say fled a state trooper, resulting in a high-speed pursuit that left his passenger dead, is facing felony negligent manslaughter charges, Sebastian County Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Shue announced Thursday.

ASP identified 23-year-old Kevin Swafford of Paris as the driver of the vehicle. His passenger, 25-year-old Calvin Eubanks, died at the scene of the crash.

A Fort Smith man died after a high-speed chase resulted in an accident involving four vehicles on Saturday evening, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Police.
