While Marvel certainly has some big things on deck for the rest of 2025, Captain America: Brave New World continues to be a somewhat underwhelming endeavor.

Despite facing less than stellar responses from critics, Captain America: Brave New World continues to perform admirably at the box office. Three weeks after its release, the latest Marvel film is leading internationally with earnings now over $300 million.

In this film, Captain America is hunted by a new villain, only for him to learn that it’s his best friend, Bucky, back from the dead, and brainwashed. Most of the film is Cap trying to figure out why this has occurred, only to learn that the nefarious organization Hydra has its tentacles everywhere.

Brave New World” kept falling but still hovered above all others at a weak weekend box office. The latest Disney-Marvel offering brought in another $15 million according to studio estimates Sunday, when most of Hollywood’s attention was on the Oscars.

Brave New World won't go down as the MCU's lowest-grossing film at the box office, there's not much good news beyond that.
