Provide your Blood Parrot Cichlid with a large tank. An aquarium around 60-70 gallons, or a tank that's at least 6ft x 2ft x 2ft, gives them plenty of space to swim.

Origin and Distribution. The blood parrot cichlid is a hybrid produced by breeding the Midas cichlid and the redhead cichlid. The fish was first created in Taiwan around 1986.
