A woman and her 14-year-old granddaughter were shot and injured Thursday, Baton Rouge Police said. Officers responding to reports of a shooting shortly after 5 p.m., in the 5500 block of St. Gerard Avenue, found both of the shooting victims.

A teenager victim reported indecent behavior that happened in November and December with the suspect Jacob Maxwell Etue, 27, from Baton Rouge.

BRPD said that a vehicle yielded to the officer’s lights. However, as the officer attempted to go around the stopped vehicle, the driver turned left, resulting in a T-bone collision.
