On Oct. 12, the body of 35-year-old Dustin Kjersem, of Belgrade, was discovered inside a tent in the wilderness north of Big Sky in Gallatin County. According to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, a caller found the grisly scene of Kjersem’s death, initially believing the man had been the victim of a bear attack.

Dustin Kjersem sustained "multiple chop wounds," including to his skull, an autopsy revealed. His killer has not been found.

Investigators are asking for help solving a "vicious" murder in a remote camping in Montana that was so brutal a 911 caller had reported it as a possible bear attack.
