David Sacks, the AI and crypto czar in the Trump administration, said the White House would support congressional efforts to rescind the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) decentralized finance (DeFi) broker rule.

Sacks is a “special government employee" exempt from the mandatory divestiture required of other public officeholders.

Sacks sold his digital assets before joining the Trump administration, though his venture firm maintains investments in the industry.
