Wales say they are happy to be written off after being drawn in a daunting group at Euro 2025. Wales, who have qualified for a women's major tournament for the first time, will face holders England in Switzerland as well as 2022 Euro semi-finalists France and 2017 champions the Netherlands.

Just the very sight of their name in the hat for the draw will be a huge thrill to all those connected to the women's game in Wales. After so many years in the footballing wilderness, they are finally set to take their first bow at a major international tournament.

Lionesses' manager Sarina Wiegman, whose side go into the tournament in Switzerland as defending champions, described the draw as "tough" but "very exciting".
