Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig was crowned Miss Universe 2024 on Saturday evening in Mexico City. The professional dancer, entrepreneur, and aspiring lawyer beat out over 120 contestants to win the annual competition, which has been held since 1952.

Kjaer, an animal protection advocate who works in the diamond selling business, beat out Miss Nigeria at the end of 73rd edition of the competition in Mexico City.

Miss Denmark Victoria Kjaer Theilvig is Miss Universe 2024. The 21-year-old former pro dancer is the first Danish contestant to take the crown.
