Luigi Mangione, the man accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is expected to waive extradition and could be sent to New York as soon as Thursday.

Five days after Brian Thompson, the UnitedHealthcare CEO, was shot and killed on the street outside a Manhattan Hilton hotel, Luigi Mangione was arrested at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He allegedly had a fake ID, a so-called ghost gun - assembled from untraceable parts - and what police say was a 3D-printed suppressor for the weapon.
