Former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin has advanced to the final of the Pan Pacific Open with a 6-4, 6-4 win over ninth-seeded Katie Boulter on Saturday.

Katie Boulter’s Tokyo run ended by Sofia Kenin in the semi-finals - The British number one was beaten 6-4 6-4 by the former Australian Open champion.

Boulter was broken twice in the first set and, although she recovered one of the breaks when Kenin first served for the set, she was unable to break again and the 2020 Australian Open champion secured the set at the second time of asking.
