Rain will be widespread throughout most of the country during the day, before turning to sleet or snow in parts of Ulster and north Connacht. Afternoon temperatures will range between highs of 3 to 5 degrees in Ulster, and 7 to 12 degrees elsewhere.

The entire country will fall under a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning from 8pm tonight until 10am on Wednesday morning

A cold weather alert has been issued across the country as arctic air is set to deliver the first chills of winter to the UK. The warning from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) covers the Midlands and North of England and comes into effect between 9am on Sunday and 9am on Thursday.
