Fireworks light the night sky across the country on Independence Day - Independence Day fireworks shows have kicked off across the East Coast

Communities in and around Charlotte are kicking off Independence Day celebrations early with fireworks and festivities planned for tonight.

Hundreds of community members lined Main Street in Weirton as the county kicked off its Independence Day celebration with a parade. Local organizations, high school bands, and dance teams showcased their various floats and routines as the crowd cheered them on.
