The deadlock over the Champions Trophy hosting has been resolved with the ICC announcing that India will play its matches in the 50-over tournament at a neutral venue rather than in host country Pakistan.

The ICC has approved a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy, ensuring India-Pakistan matches take place at neutral venues. This resolution applies to key ICC events, including the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup and 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup.

While the Champions Trophy is set to be held between February 19 and March 9, the schedule had not been announced due to the impasse over this issue. The PCB had categorically opposed the hybrid model but eventually agreed to it on reciprocal grounds.
