Drake Maye got the Patriots off to a hot start in Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars but still shouldered the blame for some of the team’s shortcomings.

The rookie quarterback said a fast start was in offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt’s game plan, but the team needs to figure out how to sustain that momentum.

Drake Maye threw for 276 yards. He completed 26-of-37 passes, with two of those going for touchdowns. He had a number of explosive plays. He got the Patriots off to a fast start.
