2025 hasn’t been too kind to Drake (neither was much of 2024 thanks to Kendrick Lamar), but it seems like at least one of his legal issues is resolved; his lawsuit against iHeartMedia has apparently been settled.

The Toronto rapper claimed that Universal Music Group made payments to iHeartMedia for airtime of Lamar's Grammy-winning diss track.

According to Rolling Stone, Drake and iHeartMedia have reached a settlement in the musician’s payola pre-action filing. Based on documents obtained by the outlet, both parties came to a mutual agreement which was then confirmed on paper in the Bexar County, Texas courts.

Drake’s legal battles over the success of Kendrick Lamar’s acclaimed “Not Like Us” continues as he settles one dispute. According to the Associated Press, the 38-year-old and iHeartMedia have reached a settlement regarding a legal petition filed in November where the Canadian musician claimed the company boosted the diss record on the radio by taking illegal payments from Universal Media Group (UMG).

Another chapter in Drake’s endless losing battle with Kendrick Lamar has come to a close.
