The Chicago Bears are retooling their offensive line, making two trades in less than 24 hours acquiring two former Pro Bowl linemen. The first of the two trades saw Chicago send a sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for offensive guard Jonah Jackson, a former Pro Bowl selection during his time with the Detroit Lions.

The Chicago Bears' trades for Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson gives Ben Johnson two solid starters for the offensive line, with positional versatility that allows Ryan Poles to be flexible in free agency and the NFL Draft.

The Rams allowed Jackson to seek a trade after losing his job. He'll reunite with Bears coach Ben Johnson, who coached him in Detroit.
