UC snaps 5-game losing streak against Xavier, wins Crosstown Shootout 68-65
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The University of Cincinnati snapped a five-game losing streak in the Crosstown Shootout, defeating Xavier 68-65 on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats trailed 53-46 with 7:50 remaining but rallied behind several Musketeers turnovers, and then held on as Zach Freemantle's three-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out.
Cincinnati faces the Xavier Musketeers after Reagan Jackson scored 29 points in the Bearcats' 95-52 victory over the Western Illinois Leathernecks.
