The U.S. House Thursday voted 224-198 to censure Texas Rep. Al Green for shouting during President Donald Trump's speech to Congress that he has no mandate to cut Medicaid. Ten Democrats voted with Republicans.

The censure gave Democrats the kind of political black eye their leaders were hoping to avoid. Several Democrats joined all Republicans in backing the resolution.

For the first time in recent memory, a lawmaker was thrown out of the House chamber during a president's address to a joint session of Congress.
