Tesla struggled with electric vehicle (EV) sales in China throughout May. According to Reuters, Tesla sold 61,662 units of its Model 3 and Model Y, a 15% decrease from last year. This marks the eighth consecutive month of declining sales.

Tesla's sales in China have significantly declined, with a 30% drop in May 2025 compared to the previous year, totalling 38,588 vehicles sold. This decline has contributed to a 7.82% decrease in sales for the first five months of 2025.
