High sixties during the day and high forties at night. A good resource for day by day weather forecasts is Accuweather dot c o m. Enter any city and then month.
I know they use Garden compost but I am not certain of the exact nature of the mulch. Your answer might be found through an inquiry to the Friends of the Rose Test Garden website.
