I would go see both. The Vancouver BC one was recently upgraded and there are tons of hands on things to do as well as demonstrations of scientific principles. It’s a great place to take inquisitive kids and their folks. I was last at the Seattle science centre in 1984 at their exhibition of Chinese Arts & Science and it was truly amazing. Paper, silk, weaving, earthquake predictors, lions and tigers and bears, oh my. See both places.
