Hi, my husband & I will be visiting Taormina for 3 days end of August. We are keen to do the Full day Etna excursion but as we are in early 70’s have some concerns about our ability to do this. We are relatively fit and used to walking long distances but it appears there are quite a lot of steps.what do you think?

We did the half day and were shattered from walking up and down the mini craters. The steps down to the lava tube were the only ones I can remember but they were steep, dark and slippery. You are provided with all safety equipment and the tour guide was very good with all safety warnings etc. Contact the operator (etna people) direct they are very helpful:)
