Hello and apologies for the late reply. Yes, we are currently undergoing some restoration on the dams, so parts of the garden will be closed at the bottom. Although, there is still lots to see in and around the garden and exciting updates with the dams project as the year goes on. We are open weekends in January, 10am - 4pm, before opening everyday in February.

We are currently preparing for a big project to restore the Georgian dams at the bottom of the garden. The middle lake (downstream of the Palladian Bridge) has been drained for a couple of years now to relieve pressure on the middle dam. We have just relocated the Tea Shed to the top of the garden ready for the project and this should be ready to open tomorrow (11 June). You can find more information about the project on our website (scroll down to the 'our work' section - I'm not able to add a weblink here). While some preliminary work has started, most of the garden hasn't changed, and for the next couple of months the garden will remain a peaceful green oasis away from the city. Thinking of visiting, is there anywhere people can recommend to park ? We don’t mind a bit of a walk but do we have to park in the City centre, is there anywhere else ?

Best to park in the city centre , take the bus route around and outside of the city , you can jump and off as you please.The gardens are amazing and worth a visit
