You need to visit this with an open mind - definitely wouldn’t recommend to visit the museum with a young family. Didn’t particularly enjoy it but the actual building and outside grounds were lovely… Full review by Nakitravellers

MONA is like your trashy train-wreck ex-girlfriend who you can’t stop thinking about. Probably not healthy to be around too much, you’ll be hung over the next day, but she’s great in the sack. Full review by Jordan T

Regarding the stairs from the ferry. I'm sorry I can't help with that as we walked from our accommodation (1km away) to MONA. Suggest you try the gallery. There is a lift inside the building but you could encounter some smaller steps.

Ferry tickets are separate to MONA entry as I believe you can drive to MONA.

Car parking is limited and a long walk. Perhaps drop off first then park for someone needing that type of access. Hope this helps.

The museum is open Wednesday–Monday, 10am–6pm. closed most Tuesdays and Christmas Day. \ Summer opening hours are 10am–6pm from 1 December 2018—28 April 2019.
