You need to visit this with an open mind - definitely wouldn’t recommend to visit the museum with a young family. Didn’t particularly enjoy it but the actual building and outside grounds were lovely… Full review by Nakitravellers

Definitely by car is the best way to go. There is a lift inside MONA to access many levels too but when I did go there, the lift stopped working - I would ask MONA directly, do they have a backup plan should this happen for wheelchair access.
The museum is open Wednesday–Monday, 10am–6pm. closed most Tuesdays and Christmas Day. \ Summer opening hours are 10am–6pm from 1 December 2018—28 April 2019.
