According to the FAQs listed on Huron-Clinton Metropark’s website (which Lake St. Clair Metropark is a part of), they accept “Cash, Checks or Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) for entry, events, rentals and concessions”. I was able to get in using an American Express credit card even though it wasn’t listed. Sorry to necro an old question but this was one of the first results on Google and didn’t have any information yet.
