Many locals run this road in running shoes. There is one small stream that cuts across the road and wasn't very deep. It was easily traversed by stepping on stones across the approximately 8 ft stream. It may have been 4-6" deep. I didn't even get my laces wet.
I don't think so, we saw families and I really think it's what you make of it. It's a gradual path up with beautiful views the whole way. If you take the kids have water and maybe a snack
