A lovely well preserved castle with good interpretation. Our doggy loved walking round too. Then a walk to the river crossing to the Hermitage. Our guide Mick was brilliant, he obviously really loves… Full review by Jeremy S

This is a great castle. Lots of it remain, so there is lots to see and it has a great history. Worth joining English Heritage for this alone! Full review by Adrian S

Very confused about the pricing ? It says online- the adult child concession prices etc then it says underneath remember to bring your membership card memberships start from £48 so do you have to pay this on top of your entry fee ?
