Wisner is a city in northwestern Cuming County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 1,170 at the 2010 census. Wisner was platted in 1871 shortly before the railroad was extended to that point. It was named for Samuel P. Wisner, a railroad official for the Sioux City & Pacific Railroad.
