nice clean campground, with one of the best springs to kayak. Expect to see lots of wildlife along the river - gators, manatees, water birds, and if you're lucky, monkeys! Full review by flav07

We rented clear bottom tandem kayaks and spending two hours paddling around. We saw alligators, birds, manatees and a boar. Such a beautiful place! Full review by loveatfirstsite

At Silver Springs there is an area that is specific for launching kayaks and canoes. It's very busy because of the rental business, but we launched from there with no problems and return there after we were done. It allows you to put you boat in the water and then hop in. Right next to the parking lot are plenty of grassy areas to inflate your kayak and get it ready to be launched.
