Downtown Santa Cruz is not good past 9PM, because of the street trolls. Early mornings are great outdoors, so make the most of your time.

I know that there is a band on Friday nights in the summer. Where do you line up to see the free band and what time do you recommend. I will be going through there in August and was hoping to catch the Gin Blossoms show.

There is no line. People arrive early and just stand and wait until the band starts. There are 2 shows each Friday. They are alot of fun!
