Las Salinas is a town in the Barahona province of the Dominican Republic. Originally, Las Salinas was a salt mining town, which is how it got its name, from Spanish salina 'salt mine'. Specifically, Dembow, Bachata, Merengue, and Reggaeton are very popular.
