I didn’t do the volcano tour so I don’t know and the hot springs tour was included in the tour cost but I doubt that either costs much. You get out of your car into the hot springs for a soak and mud experience and can stay as long as you want, but I’d set aside about an hour including change room time. The springs are very hot but fun once you get in.

We hired a driver before we went for $180 for a family of 4. It was an all day tour and we definitely got to see things we wouldn’t see on our own. That being said, I think renting a car is doable. The roads are extremely windy, hilly and narrow. I remember thinking every so often that I was glad I wasn’t driving! I’m not sure about gps coverage, either. Also, I recall when we arrived to the springs that the parking lot was a zoo. However, I assume people are leaving constantly. If you want more info on the tour we took, feel free to reach out. Hope you have a great time!! It’s totally worth going!!!
