The Old Truckee Jail museum was built in 1875 and used until 1964. Tiny little place just off the Main Street. Worth a look. Full review by StephenCr0ss
We are considering bringing our Corvette Club here on the way to Tahoe in August. Can someone tell me the hours open on Friday August 4th and if there are docents available who may we may be able to reserve a tour with?

They are only open on weekends from Memorial day thru Labor day, except on Truckee Thursdays they are open on Thursday. There is no tour, it is open to public and you cn just walk …
They are only open on weekends from Memorial day thru Labor day, except on Truckee Thursdays they are open on Thursday. There is no tour, it is open to public and you cn just walk in. It is not that big and you can leave a donation to tour on your own. There isalso a walking tour that you can do on your own. You can google the specifics on the Downtown Truckee walking tour.
