This is a truly unique place. An exposed pit containing the remains of 60 or more mammoths that had drowned in the water-filled pit over many years and over 140 million years ago. Discovered by a ho… Full review by Patric D

Mammoth dig, depending on the crowd should take about and hour to 2 hours, depending on your interest. (I found it very interesting, and I don't consider myself a cultural guy. Be sure to watch the video. That will set up the whole experience. It is still an active archeological site. You will see actual bones from millions of years ago. Evans Plunge, I haven't been to, although a friend of mine was with his daughter. It is a water park and both adults and kids enjoy it. Time is up to you. On a hot day you can enjoy as long as you like. There is a horse refuge south of town. (I haven't been there.) Custer park, Hill city are also worthwhile to see. Enjoy!
