Jim Corbett National Park is a famous national park located in the Nainital district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, it was later renamed in 1957 after the famous hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett, who played a key role in its establishment. The park spans over an area of 520 square kilometers and is known for its rich diversity of flora and fauna. It is home to more than 600 species of birds, including the rare and endangered Bengal florican, as well as a variety of animals such as the Bengal tiger, Indian elephant, and Himalayan black bear. The park also has a significant population of crocodiles and various species of snakes.
